Not as warm as it looks

We've had a busy few days here at the Lodge, planting new things. Yesterday we got in an apple tree in the front (someday, we hope, you'll see the flowers as you come up the trail) and three new rose buses along the stone wall that edges the trail as you come through the clearing. Today, we put in lettuce in the garden and what we hope will be the start of a raspberry thicket over against the bound line to the south.

It's sunny today, but not as warm as you'd guess. As of noon, it's just 49 degrees.
Barometer is holding steady
45% humidity
The fire danger is back down to MODERATE
Cascades are running white
The trail is drying out after all the rain. Do stay on it, as erosion will continue to be a danger through the spring.
