The Cascades are 350 acres of park and conservation lands along the borders of Worcester, Paxton, and Holden, Massachusetts. Home to countless species of plants and animals, the Cascades are open to passive recreation year-round.

Fresh Coat of Snow Coming Tonight!

There is a fresh coat of snow coming tonight!
Yeah!
Go figure! It is still winter!  

Hiking is tough as the compacted snow path is giving way in places and you "punch through" on the soft spots. Gaiters or snow shoes are still smart options up there.

Cascades Brook is mostly open and running in both channels;
The Cascades are slowly breaking open in places, but are largely covered;

A chance of rain showers before 5pm, then a chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. West wind 11 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
